Tropical cool oasis in Thailand

The French architecture firm Sicart & Smith Architects, headquartered in Vietnam, has brilliantly designed a private, exclusive and unusual residential project, located on the north coast of Koh Samui island, in Bang Po, Thailand.

An exceptional villa stands on a quiet stretch of beautiful Laem Noi Beach, in Thailand. The construction, which sits only 45 meters from the sea, opens out onto a pristine expanse of sand, offering views of the nearby island of Koh Phangan. It was Sicart & Smith Architects, a french international design studio, based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, who partnered with thai project management company 9PM Project Management, to ensure the complete mission from conception to runtime. In addition, the owners themselves were very involved in the creation process. Thus, on an overall land area of 2,000 m2, the 750 m² residence is organized around a central oasis, to give a feeling of large and open space from the main entrance. The various rooms are distributed around the garden, following an architectural concept that relies on a tropical, modern and minimalist tempo. The combination of an ideal position, cutting edge design, luxurious finishes and a layout designed to make life easier, results in a contemporary and refined beach house, which makes the most of the climate and the landscape.
