Kelly Hoppen is one of the most famous names in the interior design industry. So it’s no surprise that the designer, when she made her home in London, completely designed her interior.
It is in the heart of the UK capital that Kelly Hoppen’s private home extends its 836 m2. The building, once the headquarters of the Bonhams auction house, exhibits extremist architecture, rarely seen in London. The interior is no less whimsical, with six bedrooms, private bathrooms and wardrobes. To these is added a large open plan, with a high ceiling, which houses the kitchen, dining room and living room. The set is completed by an area specially designed for breakfast, a study, a gym and even a laundry room with a room for arranging flowers. It took over a year to complete the project, but it was well worth it. The famous Kelly Hoppen style runs through the house. At first glance, it announces itself thanks to the designer’s favorite palette – whites, beiges, grays and taupe. Then, in well-thought-out bursts, there are the explosions of colors that she loves: green, powder pink or even duck blue. The whole is enhanced by the use of materials and textured surfaces that she favors for the character they bring to the space. Starting from a ruined shell, Hoppen has created a home that represents her, a marriage of her tastes for simple elegance and lavish luxury.
