Without further ado, without even consulting the architect, I gave my consent and have my all to decorating my new home! This is how Christian Dior described his love affair with the apartment at 7, boulevard Jules-Sandeau, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. Fascinated by this passionate enthusiasm for the art of living, Maria Grazia Chiuri was inspired by the unique address and more specifically by Monsieur Dior’s winter garden – “jardin d’hiver” – epitomized by a silk panel embroidered with plants, flowers and birds.

Like a precious echo, elegant designs featuring clematis, peonies dahlias and swallows are transposed onto decanters, porcelain plates and embroidered placemats. Embroidered cushions, notebooks and candles in matching shades complete this line that combines heritage and modernity, as a tribute to the passion cultivated by Monsieur Dior. “Living in a house that doesn’t resemble one, recalled the founding couturier, is a bit like wearing someone else’s clothes.”
