The Chedi Muscat hotel in the Sultanate of Oman, designed by French architect Jean-Michel Gathy, from Denniston Architects based in Malaysia, has its private beach, an 85,000 m2 garden, six restaurants, a spa, a club sports and three swimming pools.

At the origin of many hotels around the world, Jean-Michel Gathy is a benchmark in luxury architecture. It was from his Malaysian-based Denniston studio that the French architect designed the magnificent Chedi Muscat in Oman. This palace is operated and developed by the GHM group (General Hotel Management Ltd.). The design combines contemporary Asian flair with subtle Omani undertones. The 158 rooms and suites offer views of the Gulf of Oman, the Al Hajar Mountains and the building’s symmetrical Zen gardens. The gourmet menu is one of the highlights of the six restaurants. From October through April, epicureans can feast on seafood at The Beach, while the Arabian Courtyard serves Arabic dishes, shawarmas and kebabs to soft music al fresco. The Shisha Lounge, with its colorful sofas and lanterns, completes the experience. The 1,500 m² spa, comprising 13 suites, offers a wide variety of beauty rituals, based on the holistic principles of aromatherapy. Guests also enjoy two floodlit tennis courts, three outdoor pools, and three golf courses. Close to the old town of Muscat, the Chedi Muscat is, in Oman, the only hotel member of the Leading Hotels of The World, a prestigious luxury hotel organization representing the best hotels, resorts and spas in the world.
